Rosewood’s Las Ventanas al Paraiso Cabo San Lucas |
| As its name implies, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, is a window to Paradise. A Ty Warner Property and one of the most acclaimed resorts ever, Las Ventanas has redefined luxury and pampering, reaching out with special touches that are the hallmark of refined hospitality. The desert resort captivates its guests with expansive suites, a world-class spa, inspired cuisine and an intoxicating ambiance. |
Eight-room villas face the water above sloping, grassy grounds. Each Wednesday, the hotel hosts a beachside barbecue party serving fine cuts and seafood. The adjacent Cabo Real golf course challenges players with several holes along the waterfront, including hole 15, whose green is just up a small hill from the hotel pool. Guests resting in beachside hammocks can request wake-up service by raising a flag. Hammocks are also equipped with a pulley system to alleviate the need to foot-propel the swaying action. In winter months, the staff scans the sea for signs of passing whales and signals guests by blowing an alert with a conch shell. |
| For a fee, the hotel’s two luxury yachts, docked at Marina San Lucas, take guests on snorkeling trips and on tours of the bay and “El Arco” – the arch at Land’s End. The world-renown spa pampers visitors with a variety of traditional and European treatments, including a massage for two under the stars. An herb garden grows all the herbs for the restaurants and hosts a regional cooking class.
A crescent-shaped hot tub, multiple swimming pools and an expansive beach give guests options for splashing or relaxing. To keep guests focused on relaxing, a signal scrambler jams cell phones and guests are requested not to use computers in public areas.
Las Ventanas also pampers pets, with walking trips, massages and even specially prepared meals, including Fido’s Fajitas and the Kitty’s Captain’s Table. |

| Guests of the hotel enjoy complimentary coffee in the lounge each morning.
The Restaurant - Baja Mediterranean specialties are served either in the climate-controlled indoor dining room or the shaded veranda. Brightly colored tablecloths have hand-embroidered designs. The La Cava wine room, with seating for up to 16 in a grotto-like setting, can be reserved on special request. Dress code required in the evening.
The Lounge - This palapa-covered outdoor lounge has plush couches and comfortable chairs and features live music nightly. Cocktails and snacks are served.
Sea Grill - With hand-painted blue tables that match the blue in the ocean, the Sea Grill serves fresh seafood and Mexican specialties, with a contemporary twist. Tables are adorned with miniature cacti and succulents. The chef prepares dishes at an open-air grill and welcomes diners to stop by for recommendations and samples of the daily catch.
Tequila and Ceviche Bar - Serving dozens of tequilas and multiple varieties of fresh ceviche, this bar is home to the daily tequila school, where a tequila specialist teaches about the different types of tequila and offers samples. The intimate setting spurs conversation if the tequila doesn’t. |
| The hotel has two luxury yachts that are used for afternoon cruises into the bay and to Land’s End (fee). The resort features a European spa and two tennis courts, with an on-site pro, ball boys, cold towels, and daily lessons. The next-door Cabo Real golf course is one of the area’s best and guests also receive membership at the nearby Querencia golf club.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply. |
